A COLLEGE LIBRARY
A college library is a library that collects and preserves books for its students and teachers. It is a very important part of a college. We have a library in our college for us. It is housed in a very spacious room on the second floor of our academic building. Our library has a rich collection of books on various subjects; that is stored in arranged in rows. There are novels, fiction, storybooks, poetry books, plays, autobiographies, books of history, philosophy, language, foreign literature, etc. There are also various journals, periodicals, magazines, etc. in our library. All the books are arranged in a very systematic way. There is an efficient librarian with a cataloguer and few assistants for running the library. The librarian is very interested in books and students. Every year he buys books for the library. There are three sections in our library. One is for reference books which are mainly for our teachers. The second section is for books on literature and the third section for other books. The atmosphere of our college library is very calm and quiet. Students read books of their own choice and need. The library also issues books to the students. A student can borrow three books at a time. Books are issued against their library cards. The library is a part and parcel of our academic activities in the college.
