A CYBER CAFE
The term 'cyber cafe' is relatively a new term. This term was first used by Ivan Poper, a Russian IT specialist, though the concept was the brainchild of Wayne Gregori who first introduced this system commercially in San Francisco in the year 1991. A cybercafe is a shop or an office that provides facilities for internet use. A cyber cafe usually has many computers with internet connections and many users can use the internet at the same time. One can browse, email, chat and enjoy all other facilities of the internet on payment usually per minute or by per hour basis. Globally, there is a rapid expansion of cybercafes because of its popularity. In a poor country like Bangladesh, most people can not afford to buy a computer and have an internet connection. These people can easily take the advantage of using the internet from a cyber cafe. Besides, today travellers who are in need of using the internet mostly depend on cybercafes. Students who do not have access to the internet in their educational institutions or in their houses can visit cyber cafes. As the present world is a world of information technology, a cyber cafe contributes a lot by providing internet services widely.
