A RAINY DAY

A day of continuous rain is called a rainy day. It is remarkable for some special features. It is a day of continuous rainfall. The entire sky is overcast with clouds. The atmosphere is dull and gloomy. As a result, the sun is not seen at all. Sometimes it rains cats and dogs again sometimes it drizzles. Besides, there are flashes of lightning and roars of thunder. On this day, the birds stay in their nests and the cattle stay in the sheds. The roads become muddy and slippery. People cannot move easily. Due to access rain, people do not want to go from one place to another. If anyone feels it essential to go out, he has to carry an umbrella. Some people pass their time by gossiping, watching television, hearing songs, reading various kinds of books and etc. Fried rice, chop, hotchpotch, chanachur, muri, Khoi, etc are very interesting foods on a rainy day. However, there are some demerits of a rainy day. The poor day-labourer falls into real trouble. They cannot go out for work for earning. So, if they do not have any stock, they have to starve. In fact, a rainy day is mostly problematic though it is beautiful to observe.
