BANGLADESH

Bangladesh is situated in southeast Asia. It is bounded by India on its west, north-west, and east, by Myanmar on the south-east, and by the Bay of Bengal on the south. She got her independence on the 16th December 1971 after liberation was nine months. It is situated in the temperate zone of the world. The climate of the country is hot and humid. Bangladesh is called a land of rivers. The Padma, the Meghna, the Jamuna, the Brahmaputra are the main rivers. The main occupation of the people here is agriculture. There are some other professions too, such as teaching, engineering, industrial work, etc. Most of the people are Muslims. There are also the Hindus, the Christians, and the Buddhists. They all live in peace and amity. The main attraction of this country is its natural beauty. There are six seasons in Bangladesh. Every season appears with its own characteristics. Different seasons show different beauty in Bangladesh. She has the longest sea beach in the world. Its name is Cox's Bazar sea beach. There are three world heritage sites in Bangladesh. The Sundarbans, the Shat-gombuj mosque, and the ruins of the Buddhist Vihara at Paharpur. In spite of poverty, Bangladesh is a very beautiful country. The people of this country are very patriotic, brave, and hospitable. I am very proud of my country Bangladesh.
